Serenity Spa By The Falls

Relax – Refresh – Revive –
At Serenity Spa by the Falls

Absolutely breathless. There I stood at the window of my guestroom at the Marriott Niagara Falls Fallsview Hotel & Spa. I was mesmerized as I gazed down at Niagara Falls. Their website read accurately when stating that this is the “closest hotel to the Falls.” The view takes your breath away.

Once settled into my beautifully appointed room, I cozied up into the chair by the window and stared out at this grand wonder of nature. It was time to wind down in preparation for some quality spa time at Serenity Spa by the Falls located on the lower lobby level of the hotel. As I made my way down to the spa, I knew I was in for a special treat when I entered the calming entrance that set the mood as the fragrance of lavender and peppermint wafted through the air and soothing music softly played.

I had selected the Renaissance Body Treatment which includes being wrapped in a rich mixture of oats, apricots and Italian Fango Mud from the thermal waters of Grotto Giusti. As I lay on a heated treatment table, my skin was prepared to receive the application. Once covered in the purifying mud, I was wrapped in warm, moist towels allowing the mud to silently extract the toxins from my body and deeply softening my skin. The Fango mud was gently rinsed away with a warm shower, preparing me for a refreshing and invigorating massage. A truly unique 75 minute Signature Treatment.

My next treatment awaited me in the pedicure room where I had selected a Deluxe Spa Pedicure. The leather massage chairs were extremely comfortable. During my pedicure, I was served a Spa Parfait which was deliciously refreshing.

After my treatments, I explored the spa and the surrounding area. There is a lovely boutique, makeup service, eleven treatment rooms in over 3,000 square feet and over 50 different treatments to select from including La Stone Therapy, Treatments for Two and Spa Packages for one, two or a group. Just down the hall from the spa, I found a large pool with outdoor sundeck, 2 large whirlpools (one with a calming cascading wall of water), saunas, steam room and fitness centre.

Back in my room, I was drawn to the view. I opened the window and listened to the roar of the water as it cascaded over the brink of the Falls. All the tension and stress I’d checked-in with had disappeared. Thoughts of returning with my spouse for the perfect Spa weekend retreat danced in my head.

As I surrendered myself to the soft comfort of the sheets and duvet of my king-size bed, Serenity Spa by the Falls had achieved its goal of relaxing, refreshing and reviving me.
