Girlfriends! Hire a sitter; send the man out with his friends; do what you must because we’re having a Spadirect Spa Party ‘chez moi’. Before you cross my threshold, you must take the pledge. We’ll cozy up in our comfiest jam jams - no La Perla required; good, old- fashioned Victoria’s Secret will be just fine – watch our Spadirect Spa party therapists whip up some aromatherapy blends and treatments using fresh foods and the finest of nature and then, enjoy splendid strawberry flash facials, lemongrass butter manicures, mint spiced pedicures, fun nail art and seated wellness massages. We’ll end it all with a good old- fashioned pillow fight. Just don’t knock over my Wellness Martini!
My world has been rocked. I have found a spa that makes house calls! Thanks to Spadirect, the spa that comes to you, the world of the mobile spa has busted out of the exclusive domain of celebrities so that even little ol’ me can order up spa services at home, at any time…for me; for my man and me; for my girlfriends and me; even for corporate events. In fact, at my next corporate retreat, I’m going to suggest that we bring in Spadirect to set up a Spa and Wellness Reception: a networking spa buffet with stations set-up for mini treatments like mini facials, seated wellness massages, mini manicures, paraffin soaks, reflexology, botanical hand scrubs and shoe shine and grooming services for men. This interactive experience is perfect for any corporation or meeting planner that is searching for the ultimate team building, networking and social wellness experience. Imagine my CEO’s response to my request for a raise after he has experienced all of the stations of the spa.

Do you know that bone-tired feeling: muscles aching from dragging around luggage; mind so numb from all of the meetings that you forget that there’s more to you than being a corporate voice? With one phone call, I set-up a treatment within the privacy of my very own room. There is no need to get dressed; no need to talk to anyone. Before I can gobble up all the fries, I am stretched out on a portable massage table while Laurence mixes together the ground almonds, almond paste, and mineral water for my Body Facial. Layers of toxic grime slough away as she vigorously applies the scrub over my sun-dried, smog-clogged flesh. After the exfoliating, and hydrating polish, I am given the choice of an invigorating or relaxing aromatherapy massage. I look at the gorgeous, king-sized bed two feet away and opt for the relaxing oils. I set off on a one-hour journey through fields of lavender and petunias, and finish with‘bon gout’ of papaya. After my massage, I glide to bed, my hotel room suddenly infused with warmth and a sense of wellness. With soothing scents as my lullaby, I drift off to a glorious, deep sleep. Wow! What an experience.

With more time, I would love to spend an entire day at ONE, Spadirect Wellness Center and Spa. Spadirect’s flagship, terrestrial spa located at the Crowne Plaza Toronto Don Valley Hotel. One of the first spas designed for Individuals and groups, united with the simple balance of relaxation, rejuvenation and welcome spirit and a family friendly spa with a facility that has unique programs for corporations that require off-site group experiences. Imagine one-on-one yoga instruction or classes, belly dancing, Pilates, Tai Chi and a milk bath in the gorgeous, antique slipper tub are just what I need. My man would really enjoy the gentlemen’s personal grooming spa, especially a hot professional shave and hair cut in the antique barber chair or a pampering escape for two in the couples spa lounge, then, perhaps, we’ll sip a delicious, rejuvenating wellness cocktail as we lounge beside the pool in a cabana under the spectacular glass atrium.
A lovely lifestyle, don’t you agree? Relaxing, healthy, and slightly indulgent. Or, am I starting to sound like a spa-crazed princess? I want my treatments at home, at work, in my hotel room.
